hi

this weeken i setup a wireless network in a large house and everything is working perfectly. the only complaint i received was that hte external led light is very bright when it gets dark (as it is located in one of the bedrooms this is a bit of an issue)

i found the following command

AP1(config)#led display ?

dim Turn LED display dim.

off Turn LED display off.

AP1(config)#led display off

i applied the above command but i have no way of veryfing (as i am not on site) if the external led has now turned off.

i could not find a command to show me the current led status (on/off/dim)

so 2 questions

1) will this command have turned off the external LED

2) how can you verify via the command line what the current status is

many thanks

Hi Rogier,

Yes, this command should have fully darkened the LED Display;

This example shows how to turn-off the 1130AG Status LED:

AP(config)# led display off

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.4_3g_JA/command/reference/cr43main_external_docbase_0900e4b180443057_4container_external_docbase_0900e4b180480623.html#wp3339779

This should be seen in a "show run" for the AP

Hope this helps!
