After a power down we booted up our core switched 4507 and 4510 and both went into rmon mode. Both supervisors had amber leds I had to attach a console cable to each supervsior and boot from command line and it reloaded with correct config. Any help with this would be appreciated

How is the setting of the config-register for the switches? See the last line of 'show version' after the switches have been fully booted.

The config-register should be something like 0x2102 or 0x2 or 0xF

HTH

The config register is 0x2102

Did you have a "boot system xxx" statement in your config before you reloaded? I just found this note in the documentation:

If you set bootfield to a value between 0-0-1-0 (binary) and 1-1-1-1 (binary), you must specify a value in the boot system command, else the switch cannot boot up and will remain in ROMMON.

So with your 0x2102 you must have a 'boot system' statement in the config.
