There is nothing much to configure for failover. The Cisco IPS don't support any proper failover like 'configuration sync' etc. Both blades will run indepandlty, the blade placed on the 'Active' switch will service traffic and the other one will just wait for its host switch to be active.

You have to manually configure both blades inentically (excluding the management IP). Or if you have CSM, you can configure both using it.
