Hi folks,
whats the recommended config procedure when it comes to configuring the vlans allowed command ie do set it on the interface trunks and the etherchannel or just the etherchannel or does it not matter so long as they're consistent?
What would happen if vlan allowed had different vlans on one interface compared to the other within the etherchannel. What permatations cause the trunk to either unbundle or not pass vlan traffic due to misconfig?

Tony,
I'd recommend you to do as follows:
- Shut all interfaces in the channel down on both sides. To avoid the order operation problems.
- start configuring Etherchannel all interfaces.
- Make sure that all interfaces have identical configuration.
- Bring all interfaces back up.

Hi
In addition to the other post i would recommend u to put all the ports in desirable mode so that it will prevent in STP loops by err-disbaling the ports if there is any channel mis-config.
Thanks

If u configure different vlan on diff.ports within one active etherchannel it will break the channel, you have to have same vlans allowed on all the ports.
