hi all,

one of my cisco 837 router restarted on power failure and IOS failed.

on console access i got rom-mon mode

i tried to set back the config reg to 0x2102 and restarted then router booted to somthing unusual... like *** Soft loop.

i restared a couple of times then did recovery and loaded image via tftpdnld which went ok and i can see the file in flash.

but on reset it failes again..

it starts the self decompression and goes in a "*** Soft" loop then terminates later on with below error

ios im using is .. was working fine earlier
