Module not responding to Keep Alive polling

What are the possible causes for this syslog message?

PWRCYCLE Card in module 3, is being power-cycled off (Module not responding

to Keep Alive polling)

Over the past few months, I have seen this message pop up now and then on different 6509 access switches. The modules are WS-X6148A-GE-TX. I know the recommended action is to reseat the module but I'm wondering if anyone else has run across this type of issue.

Hello David,

reseating the module can help and it did for us with a new installed C6500.

There can be issues with these specific linecards as well because they are the older ones.
