Hi,

I have put in service a new SUP720-3BXL on a 6509 to replace BGP routing on 7204 VXR with NPE-G1.

So, I have severals SLB working on the 6509 with SUP1A.

I have replaced the sup1A with SUP720 3BXL.

I have configured a BGP Sessions with one of our provider and bring it up.

Now, I have some trouble with SLB which are switching to failed when I begin to advertised the route concerned by this SLB.

Here are the error logs :

Jun 16 16:15:14: %SLB-6-REAL: Real A.B.C.D (SERVERFARM) has changed state to FAILED

Jun 16 16:15:50: %SLB-6-REAL: Real A.B.C.E (SERVERFARM) has changed state to FAILED

Jun 16 16:16:27: %SLB-6-REAL: Real A.B.C.F (SERVERFARM) has changed state to FAILED

Here the part of the conf concerned by that :

Hello Yousri,

your configuration looks like fine.

You have changed the supervisor HW and the IOS release.

I've checked release notes and software based IP SLB is supported with your supervisor and your IOS image.

However, I would try to install a newer image you may be hitting a SW bug. What image to choice depends from the modules that are in the chassis.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
