Hi,
We are using CCM4.3. My customer wants to check how is it possible for th subscriber to take role of Publisher, specially making changes to the CCM config , once the Publisher is down.
I have heard this may be possible if we upgrade the CCM4.3 to higher(linus) version, can somebody give me the exact details, of which versions to upgrade to & what feauters of publisher will we get?
thanks

This is not possible with any CCM version.
CCM 6.0 and later allow small changes to the CCM database (change call forwards, login to extension mobility etc.) whilst the Publisher is off line but that is it currently.

That is not entirely true, a SUB can NEVER take the role of a PUB.
What you get are user facing features (CFA for example) and those are then replicated when replication is restored.
But it's not like "Oh my PUB crashed but a SUB will turn into the new PUB and i'll be OK" If your PUB crashes, you need to restore the PUB using the methods posted on CCO.
But stuff like creating phones, etc as in any version will be locked down, you only get UFF.
If you want this get CUCM 6.1(2) or higher.
