Compress IN NVRAM

I have a configuration file of 70KB size but on my router I only 55KB nvram.

is there a way to compress the configuration.

use the search, these things are easy fo find.

can I use my carte flash instead of my NVRAM because I have a large file.

Try compress first, it's much easier and very effective.

I am not sure if it is model dependent or IOS version dependent, but I tested using the compact flash card to store the startup config and it worked well. I was testing on an 1841 running 21.4T.

Try

1- service compress-config,

2- copy running-config startup-config command
