Hi everyone,

The following output is from one of my switches: Tracing the route to 10.16.92.51

1 172.16.28.1 0 msec 9 msec 0 msec

2 172.16.100.1 8 msec 8 msec 9 msec

3 172.16.200.26 17 msec 8 msec 8 msec

4 172.16.200.134 9 msec 8 msec 8 msec

5 10.16.32.3 9 msec 17 msec 8 msec

6 172.16.200.153 17 msec 17 msec 16 msec

7 10.16.92.51 8 msec 8 msec 17 msec

Does it mean that my jitter is 209 msec?

What would be the best way to calculate jitter?

Thanks in advance for your support

No that is not a jitter measurement. The best way to monitor jitter is to use IPSLA which is built into IOS (routers only though). You can find more info at the link below.

Thanks a bunch Collin
