We're putting an analyzer on the network and need to span ports to make the analyzer as the destination. I need to span ports from three different switches to the switch where the device is located. Here's the config I plan to use for one of them.
Does this look ok? Anything I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
#Create RSPAN vlan:
conf t
vlan 985
remote span
end
#Create RSPAN source interfaces:
conf t
monitor session 1 source g1/0/9, g1/0/12, g2/0/11 both
monitor session destination vlan 985
#Create RSPAN destination:
conf t
monitor session 1 source remote vlan985
monitor session 1 destination interface g1/0/35

Robert,
Your template looks good to me. Don't forget to add Vlan985(Rspan vlan) on the switches along the path.
