AIM-VPN/SSL-3 Module not detected

Hi,

I have Cisco 3845 Router, installed AIM-VPN/SSL-3 module on slot 1 but doesnt detects the card.

We have IOS (C3845-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 12.4(3d)

You need to upgrade your IOS to the T train, specifically you need a minimum of 12.4(9)T. See this link for more details -

You are right, I needed IOS upgrade.

Using the Configurator Tool the Router 3845 shows AIM-VPN/SSL-3 but in reality its a built in on board not external AIM-VPN/SSL-3 module.

what is the difference between build in and external.
