Syslog message are in syslog.log but syslog analyzer shows nothing

i HAVE WINTEL LMS 3.1 CISCOWORKS


Ok, this is annoying. I have several devcies (a lot actually) that I see logs in the syslog but they do not show up in device center and or in syslog analyzer.


Any ideas? syslog is running,,,,

Your problem description is confusing. Are you saying the devices do not show up, or that the syslog messages for those devices do not show up in the reports?

Sorry I was frustrated when I posted.


Symptoms


Actual syslog.log file contains logs from X device.


Device Center for device shows no as in 0 logs.


When I click syslog analyzer there are no entries. But as mentioned the syslog.log file has thousands of logs.


This is happening to about 45% of our devices. I have configured the purge policy. All appears normal but it looks like CW isn't pulling the logs into syslog analyzer??? Dont know but quite annoying and I am missing data within the gui???? I am not sure the mechanism that mines the syslog.log file to extrapolate into the analyzer.
