Replacing FWSM Stateful IP address

Hi,

Can Anyone advise the risk of replacing the stateful failover IP of FWSM (interchassis model) in production environment...

I assume you want to change the failover IP (standby)? This won't make a difference as long as both devices are UP during the exercise. Don't reboot/disconnect any of the devices during the change.

The failover function can even function if you remove the standby IP altogether. However by doing this you cease the firewall's ability to do interface monitoring.
