What is the best practice for backing up Cisco devices with regards to schedule (should it be weekly, daily or only after every change), backup management and related documentation.
daily, every night when not many changes are taking place is common and more than often enough. However some ISPs with many operators making changes prefer incremental backups (with a waiting delay timer).
I use Rancid, its a good enough tool.
