There is no support for the Cisco VPN client on 64bit systems.

I know VPN IPSec client is not suppoerted in 64-bit Windows OS. But if you can open up a TAC case and refer to BUG ID #CSCsb35984 they might consider supporting it. I heard rumors on other cisco forums that they are considering it, but again it can depend on the number of customer request. A couple of our clients upgraded to 64bit and we ended up purchasing a third party software for I which I think is not necessary for us to spend a couple of bucks just to get our VPN working.  I might even consider moving back to checkpoint if they don't do anything about it.

You will need to use the AnyConnect client. Only supported on ASA 8.0 and IOS 12.4(15)T1 and higher.

Cisco does not have a 64-bit Windows IPSEC VPN client.

There are 3rd party solutions available but they are non-supported by Cisco.

Like Patrick and Andrew said, Cisco doesn't have an IPsec VPN client for 64-bit machines.  A 3rd party client to check out is NCP engineering, http://vpnhaus.ncp-e.com/, it works on Vista and Windows 7 and both 32 and 64 bit machines.

Here is the data sheet: http://www.ncp-e.com/fileadmin/pdf/datenblaetter/NCP_DS_Entry_Client_Win32_64.pdf

Hope this helps!

Or you can download and use the shrewsoft client for free:

There seems to be a lot of frustration in the forums and blogs over the lack of support on the 64-bit IPsec situation, particularly for those who have ripped / replaced with wholesale SSL systems. The good news (for those who haven’t abandoned IPsec that is!) is that some companies (like NCP) have spent the past four years developing some really cool 64-bit clients that do WAY more than just connect to a gateway. Anyway, thought I’d at least raise the issue that maybe just a client isn’t actually enough today.

I’ve been following and blogging on this topic for some time now, check out the most recent post: http://vpnhaus.ncp-e.com/2010/02/11/is-a-64-bit-ipsec-client-enough/”

Yeah thats cool if you want to sell the NCP product, but the beta has worked fine for several users, and

guess what, it's free.  If you have users that want to use another product with pretty good reliabilty shrewsoft makes a pretty solid client.  It's free too.

Thanks

This has been pretty solid so far.  No complaints from users so far.
