Hi Netpro:

here is my question:system prompt monitoring disabled for all interface, what's its meaning, the output is fake ?

thanks all

show int g5/1 tran detail Transceiver monitoring is disabled for all interfaces.

ITU Channel not available (Wavelength not available), Transceiver is externally calibrated.

Jun,

This is normal, you need to enable Digital Optical Monitoring or DOM. Then you would be able to see Laser budget and other transceiver data.

sh int te1/4 transceiver detail

Transceiver monitoring is disabled for all interfaces. <<=== When DOM is enabled it does overwrite snmp traps for transceiver.

ITU Channel not available (Wavelength not available),

Transceiver is internally calibrated.

mA: milliamperes, dBm: decibels (milliwatts), NA or N/A: not applicable.

++ : high alarm, + : high warning, - : low warning, -- : low alarm.

A2D readouts (if they differ), are reported in parentheses.

The threshold values are calibrated.

How to configure DOM ? on 7600, I use "Transceiver type all"

Not all modules are DOM capable, see compatibility here:

Hello Jianghui,

but

sh int gi5/1 status what tells ?

is the port used and usable or you have troubles with it ?

May you provide a sh module and IOS image name?

All this in order to get better help you may be hitting a SW bug for example.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe:

it's your needed information:

the port is in used and no admin shutdown, actually I don't think it's Image bug .

thanks your response

total output :
