Aironet 1300 max transmit power

Unanswered Question

I have 1310G with integrated antenna(EU version, max output power is 5mw.

Is there any way to set it 30mw?

If I use external antenna EU version, it can be set to 30mw.

I have this problem too.

The transmit power depends on the regulatory domain you belong to. It depends on the country regulations. If the maximum power on your 1310G is 5mW, then you cannot set it any higher that that.

As you are using an ETSI Access Point, the maximum EIRP is 20 dBm / 100mW.

The 1310G have an integrated 13dBi antenna. Therefore 5mW (7dBm) is the maximum available transmit power as this would be:

13dBm antenna + 7dBm transmit power = 20dBm.

5mw is seems to be very low, isn't it?

If I use external model and put 13dbi patch antenna, again I must set 5mw?

applying 20mw result better?
