Has anyone tried configuring the ASA in multiple-context mode.Is the cisco ASA truly able to justify its mulitplicity.what are the issues encountered.

Hi,
What exactly are you looking out of a ASA box in multi context mode?
Here are some limitations =
- you cannot use Dynamic routing protocols...Security contexts support only static routes. You cannot enable OSPF, RIP, or EIGRP in multiple context mode.
â¢VPN ( all types)
â¢Multicast routing. Multicast bridging is supported.
â¢Threat Detection

my customer has 2 PiX,configured in Active standby.He is migrating to ASA 5520.For now all the Zones are running in active PIX.I wanna use the multiple context feature and split the zones and load balance the traffic.Is it possible.can i assign the same IP to each zone in different context.So that even if one fails,the other takes over
