i want to know what's better to work core switch 3560G-TS-S or switch 2960G-TC-L

Core switch implies that routing is needed.

The 2960G is a Layer2 switch so it does not qualify for core switching, that leaves you with 3560G as it has Layer3 capabilities.

With that said, neither switch is targeted as a core switch.

What's the size of the network?

What type of applications are they running?

Is this a remote location or Head Quarter?
