Hello

I'm looking for a way to do a bulk import of groups, similar to bulk import of devices, however, to make customized groups in CS, as well as the rule sets to accompany them.

Is there a way?

Also seen you comments on you can only create 100 customized groups. Is this the case? If so, how can you create more if needed?

Thanks in advanced

Gareth

No, this is not possible. The groups must be defined via the GUI.

The ability to export and import groups has been added in LMS 3.2. This version also has official support for 200 user defined groups. Previous versions had a maximum limit of 100 groups, but that could be unofficially increased by editing the various NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/APP/WEB-INF/classes/OGSClient.properties file.

Thanks J

How about scripting in a bunch of groups with rules? instead of having to do it one by one through the UI?

Thanks again

Gareth
