Switches 2950 and 2960...how to monitor ports for past connectivity

Is there a command where I can find out if the ports had any connectivity lately with devices attached to them?

I'm trying to determine, without walking around, if the data ports at the cubicles are even in used.

There is no easy way on the 2900 series like the catalyst 4500 series . You can use the show int stats command and anything that show "0" for input you know it hasn't been used but it would not account for any line that may have been connected previously and then disconnected. Why they don't put the 4500 command "show interfaces link" into all their switches is beyond me , maybe its a hardware issue.
