Grouping without Teaming Software - Layer2 Switch

Hi,

Its my 1st experience to team network card and configure the switch.

Server has two network cards but without teaming software. Server is connected to Cisco Layer 2 Switch ( 2900 series );

Is it possible to combine the interfaces, if Yes what steps are required on SERVER and Cisco Switches.

Yes you can accomplish the task at hand. What is the manufacutre of the NIC's. If they are broadcomms you need to go to the website and downloadthe BAS software to team the NIC you will need three IP's address one for each nic and one for the virtual NIC that is created. On the Switch just put them on the same VLAN
