Upgrade CallManager offline

Dear all,

I want upgrade from cm 4 to cm 6. we have 1 publisher and 1 subscriber.

We had cloned the publisher, and the cloned we used for live production.

Can i upgrade the real publisher without

subscriber connected to publisher network?

Yes,You can upgrade the publisher without subscriber in the network.Even you could do the 'upgrade installation' in a private network and connect the phones and test it.

Then plug the upgraded server to the real network and install the subscriber.

there are something problem that make me confused,

i have to install UA(upgrade Assistant), then UA provides the result : database replication failed ,,

its may because the publisher cannot finding the subscriber for database replication.

I have running DMA successfull. If i upgrade to CUCM 6, any problems with occur?

Hi,

While running the Upgrade Asst insall and DMA, definitely you need both PUB and SUB in the network.

Then if you have the DMA (successful)tar file,you can start the upgrade installation.

i see,,

then if we have DMAsuccesfull.tar(UA successfull too),, we can upgrade offline mode, doesn't it ?
