From what i have read on the LAP1524PS product data sheet, it looks like this radio is designed for b/g and 4.9 licensed access. Are there any restrictions to using this device in a non-public safety situation, say a commerical environment. The only other option looks like the 1524SB. Which is more suited to most wireless outdoor mesh non-public safety installations?
Thanks.

4.9GHz is only allowed to be used by public saftey. It is not allowed to be used for commercial use.

Exactly. So is 1524SB a better option in the commercial case? For 4.9Ghz setups are using only 1 antenna for PS and 1 for 802.11b/g clients?

The AIR-LAP1524SB-x-K9 would probably be your best bet. This has dual 'a' radios for the backhaul.

What would be the disadvantage of using the 1524PS here besides the fact that we can't use the 4.9Ghz band?
