Wireless Controller 4404 - 4 Uplinks

Unanswered Question
Jun 24th, 2009

Hello! I have a wireless controller 4404, running code. I have LAG enabled but currently have only 2 ports used, I am planning on connnecting the other two ports soon. Will this cause an outage? I am thinking no, but I want to see if anyone has ever done this and what the outcome was. Thank you.

I have this problem too.

Are you plugging the last 2 uplinks to the same switch?

Just make sure that STP is DISABLED and it should be fine.

Yes I am plugging the last two uplinks to the same switch, but on a different module. When you say make sure that STP is disabled, what are you referring to? Spanning-tree portfast?

Also make sure you create an ap-manager interface for every active port on the controller.

LAG is enabled so there will only be one AP Manager interface. No requirement/ability to create additional interfaces.
