Hi all
Has anyone else experienced ASDM failures on their apples OSX machines since Java did their last update?
If the are not experiencing a problem, could someone please tell me what their .jnlp files are associated with, i.e. what app does it start now?
I can no longer launch the Java interface (web start) from the HTTPs page.
It use to download a file with a .jnlp extension which no longer associates itself with java.
I can successfully navigate to the page but when I click launch or setup buttons on the initial ASDM page, it opens up a script editor called dashcode.app
Does anyone know a fix to get ASDM's Java web start working again under Safari or Firefox.

Looks like I'm not the only one with the problem.

A fix

Here's what I just added to the bug:
This problem has occurred for 4 out of 8 folks I work with who have updated.
The update deletes the old Java Web Start app located here:
/Applications/Utilities/Java/Java Web Start
and creates a new Java Web Start app located here:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Java Web Start
and the update does not appear to rebuild the launch services database properly (in some cases).
If you open /System/Library/CoreServices in the finder any applications in CoreServices which are not registered in the launch services database will be added.
After doing this jnlps worked again from Safari, FireFox, and the Finder.

I just went to the core services dir, copied java web start to my apps folder and its working again.
