I am wondering if the priority queuing is supported on ME6524? I have 6524s acting as PE and 6509s acting as P and want implement QoS.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello Joseph,
it is supported but the exact behavior depends from what linecards you have on it.
Exactly as it happens for other features a sh module can tell what you can do.
Hope to help

6424 is not a modular switch. It's a fixed configuration switch with PFC3C.
Wondering if LLQ is supported on this model. I can't find any documentation to prove or disprove this.
Thanks - Shine

Hello Shine,
thanks I thought it was modular.
However, the data sheet tells that it supports advanced QoS including a priority queue.
see
It makes a distinction between uplink and downlink ports:
Uplink Port Scheduler
Strict Priority Scheduling with either Shaped Round Robin (SRR) or Deficit Weighted Round Robin (DWRR)
Downlink Port Scheduler
DWRR, Weighted Random Early Detection (WRED)
but downlink ports share in group of three some resources:
Downlink Queue Structure
⢠TX: 1p3q8t
⢠RX: 1q2t
⢠Deep Buffer TX: 21.33 MB per port
⢠Deep Buffer RX: 240 KB shared by three ports
You should be able to use a strict priority queue may be you need to use commands that are not modular QoS (so it was on 12000 with MDRR) but the functionality should be present.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
