i see cpu usage going up in asa 5520 to 77 percent i have disabled syslog what would be the reason

MPF Configurations can also cause high CPU utilization.

I would also check your ASA IOS version and see if there is a bug. You can see these on the release notes under the Caveats section. I resolved our high CPU issue just by upgrading to the latest 7.0 version.
