BAT - UDP Template Speed Dials

Hi, I am running CUCM7 and have created a Cisco 7960 UDP Template and assigned a speed dial to button 6.

When I import UDP users and use this template, the import is successfully, but when I view the created UDP, the speed dial I have created has moved to button 3 (the first available speed dial button), any ideas why this is?

Hi Ian,

It sounds like you are hitting this bug;

CSCsr04980 Bug Details

CCMAdmin UDP Template Button Template in wrong order with blank items

Symptom:

UDP Template - Button Template will show buttons in incorrect order if there are blank items before populated items of the same type.

For instance:

Line 1 - SURL - left blank

Line 2 - SURL - populated with a service

will get translated to

Line 1 - SURL - populated with a service

Line 2 - SURL - left blank

Conditions:

Using UDP Templates under Bulk Administration on CUCM 5.X and 6.X

Workaround:

Enter populated items first and leave blank items last.

Use the None button item to preserve spacing between items Status

Excellent, thanks Rob.

How did you find this, I searched the bug toolkit for UDP Template Button Template in wrong order and recieve no results, but when I input the CSCsr04980 I get this response back....

Hi Ian,

You are most welcome my friend! Sometimes, "less is more" when it comes to the Bug Toolkit ;-)

For this search I just used UDP as the "keyword" and CUCM 7.0 as the Product Search. The Bug Toolkit is like an Archeological dig at times.

Hope this helps!
