Check cpu processes on a Pix 525 Version 7.2(2)

Hi to all,

A few hours ago i had a high cpu utilization on my Pix 525 Version 7.2(2), i wanted to check what process was taking all the CPU but i noticed that there is no command "show processes".

I was able to see the percent of cpu utilization (show cpu, show cpu usage) but not the list of processes, does anyone know how can I check this??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Alfonso,

There should be a 'show processes' command in 7.2(2). Verify that you have the proper permissions to use this command.

There is even a 'show proc cpu-hog' command that will show you the last three top CPU hogging processes, and when they were last hogging CPU:

Pix525/pri/act# sh proc cpu-hog

Process: Dispatch Unit, NUMHOG: 2, MAXHOG: 7158, LASTHOG: 110
