Cisco IOS 12.4T default blocking external connections

Hi,

What has changed now in the latest 12.4 releases of firmwares for the 28xx series routers that by default all external connections to the router are blocked as if it is running firewall services even when firewall services are turned on.. we are having issues when we did a uprade that no connections on the outside interface are possible. everything works from only the inside interface..

Any suggestions.. We have access lists configured to allow from any to any in our test lab but outside interface blocks everything.

It seems there is a issue with the new firmwares on the 12.4T and ip nat settings ... the same configuration from older firmware would allow outside interface to be configured with ip nat outside and inside interface with ip nat inside.. however on the new one if one sets up a ip nat outside it blocks all inbound.
