CAR CDR and 0 bill charge!!!

Hello everybody,

On Cisco Unified Communications Manager CDR Analysis and Reporting and to be more specific on department-bill I am getting 0 charge for the new users which have been added

I have Done the following for the new user:

1- Associated user with phone

2- Selected the control device on the user menu which is the same as associated phone

3- Put a use ID and primary extension

4- Load CRD and CMR

5- Reload all the details record

6- Restarted all the services for the CAR

And still I am getting 0 bill for the new added users

I have this problem too.

Could you elaborate step 3? Where (on which page) you "put a user ID"?

Thanks a lot Michael for paying attention

I Meant the following;

for the user ID

1- Device-phone-click on the phone itself

Then from the phone properties I associated the phone with

Owner User ID=

For the Directory number;

2- User Management -EndUser


Directory Number Associations

I associated the user with his extension by selecting his extension from

Primary Extension

and putting

IPCC Extension = I left it empty

For billing purpose, only step 1 matters:


1- Device-phone-click on the phone itself

Owner User ID


Does the problem only happens on one user?

You may try this:

Go to CAR web page > CDR > Search > By User/Extension. Try to search for the user's extension. See if you got anything?

I tried to login by different users and see the billing individual for each one and it works fine which is good induction , but for the department bill is always showing zero for those users.

It seems I need to change something to be reflected on the department bill, but usually this one should be reflected automatically from active directory!

Can you help on this issue?

For "department bills", you need to configure "Manager User ID" for each individual. Have you done that?

Thanks a lot Michael for you support, Manager user ID is configured for all users, because unified communication manager is taking all those information from active directory and all the information are written there,

One more thing I can get accurate billing information without 0 charges if I select

From the Unified communication manager CDR analysis and reporting

User Reports-Bills-Department-Generate new report

If I select the user one by one I got accurate report

If I select the check box for select all users then I am getting 0 bill charge for the new users who have been added lately

Strange behavior
