Voiceflex SIP Trunk - inbound calls not working

Unanswered Question
Jun 30th, 2009

Dear All,

Do any of the you, the Cisco Community, have a successful UC520 to Voiceflex SIP Trunk inbound calls working? If you have, can you post some configs to help out. I have successful outbound calls working including DTMF (using dtmf-relay sip-notify under the dial-peer).

The main problem is inbound calls. I get a SIP 2/0 404 not found when I debug. Basically saying that the incoming number is not matching. I can get this to work on any other IP PBX but not on Cisco. Voiceflex have been helpful in sending me some sip traces from their end and they get SIP 2/0 500 server error.

Any help on this matter is really appreciated.

Kind regards,

I have this problem too.

Can you post your config as well as a debug ccsip messages?

Be sure to write over passwords and other data you do not want to share.

I see different numbers configured on the system that look like they would work properly.  But, based on the ccsip messages, it looks like the call is for a different number.

INVITE sip:[email protected]:5060 SIP/2.0

I see 84416082 in your config as credentials, but I don't see it as a number you are expecting to receive.  Can you verify that this is a good test call, that you dialed a number that should have went to 02393233030 for example?

Hi Steve,

The call is to 02393233030 from my mobile. When you see the incoming call it comes up as 84416082 which is the SIP account number from Voiceflex and not the DDI (I am not sure why we don't see the DDI i dial). To test I was not going mad I configured the same on X-lite SIP softphone with the same credentials (84416082) and then from my mobile I dialed 02393233030 and it rang just fine.

Any ideas Steven?

I am not sure if the client you are using actually cares about the number it receives and might just ring whenever it receives the invite.  The UC500 does care about the phone number it receives.  It can't route a call to 4 different numbers without knowing which one to ring.  If you want to test this theory, add that 84416082 number to the system and see if it rings.

If you want the system to work the way it is configured now, you will need to receive 02393233030 as the number in the invite.

That is working. I know what I need to do with Voiceflex. I will need to change the way the invites are sent. Its as simple as that. Thanks for the help. Its good to get a second set of eyes on this.

Thanks again!

Kind regards,
