Cisco/Windows - Pointing Fingers

Hello,

We have Windows 2003 Server running DHCP and DNS and all working well.

Users sometimes get limited connectivity.

Sometimes after repair of network connection on the PC resolves the issue.

What could be the Issue.

Server connected on gigaBit Network

Users are on 100Mbps network

DHCP scope has free ip address

windows team complain that its network issue?

I would try enabling port fast on the port first, the pc may be trying to get a dhcp too early before the port is active, and giving up, I have seen this before

Also try running a packet sniffer on the machine to see if you get the disover, offer, request, ack for the dhcp
