Cisco Wireless Access Points

I'm inheriting ting a wireless network that will have to be updated with a new subnet.

The current access points are all cisco manage by cisco management device, in a central network closet.

How do I access each of the access points and update their new ip address, or does the cisco management unit also manage the ip address of the access points?

What do you mean a "cisco management unit"? Do you mean a Wireless LAN Controller?

If you want to change the IP Address of the APs, you first have to find out if the AP's IP Address is static or dynamic. If dynamic, you can get this done by editing the subnet on the DHCP server.

If static ... hoooo boy. This will depend on the IOS the WLC is running on. If it's earlier than 6.0.182.0 than you'll have to use CLI. If it's 5.2.157.0 then you have no choice because there's a bug.

Hope this helps.
