How would one support BGP tranversing through an ASA 5550 with 8.0(4) code in a routed context?
8.0 code support most internal dynamic routing processes, but it doesn't support a BGP routing process?
thanks, Kevin

Do you want BGP routes to pass through the ASA or do you want the ASA to be apart of an AS?
If it is the latter the ASA does not support BGP.

yes, if the ASA isn't able to be a BGP neighbor, how does a routed context support BGP traffic, same as a transparent context... ACLs?

got it, short of figured that the ASA only supports certain internal routing processes, just can't find the whitepage stating so.
thanks, Kevin

Yes, the principle is the same.
