enable SSH for Cisco 6509

Hi everybody,

I want to enable SSH instead of TELNET to manage the Cisco 6509 ,but i find that

the cisco 6509 don't have ssh option .

can anyone tell me the cisco 6509 support ssh or not ? IOS version is "Version 12.2(18)SXF13" .

Hi,

do a show version on your box. You will see the filename which is something like s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF13.bin

If it has the "k9" in it, then you can use SSH because it supports encryption, if it doesn't have it, then it is not supported and you should perform a software upgrade to support it.
