Kboot image in the 7206 vxr

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I've got a message on my 7206 vxr router saying there's a mismatch between my IOS and my kboot (which is indeed the case) and tried to change the kboot version to match the IOS. But I can't delete/change the old one with this new (not enough space to add them two in the flash). Any suggestions? I am wandering around to find a way to do this.

I have this problem too.

"Any suggestions?"

Unless you need to use TFTP during the boot process, believe having the "correct" boot image isn't critical.

I recall(?) when this first happened, Cisco recommended usage of a "S" IOS boot image, but I'm unable to find that information.

However, did find this: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7200/install_and_upgrade/7200_boot_image_info/3876b.html#wp58627
