Unable to save to memory ASA 5505

Unanswered Question

Hello there

I have got a problem with one of my asa's. It is in a ha setup. While

attempting to wr mem, I received the following error:

ASA(config)# wr mem

Building configuration...

%Error writing disk0:/.private/startup-config (I/O error)

Error executing command

Does anyone know what may be causing This

I have this problem too.

Marc,

You might try running the 'fsck' command to check for and fix any file system errors on the flash.

If that doesn't fix it, you can also try the 'format' command to completely re-format the flash. Before trying this, make sure you have backup copies of your config (maybe not an issue in a HA setup) and your software (ASA and ASDM).

If you are still having issues, I would suggest opening a TAC case.
