I created 2 SSID's on a Cisco1242. On the SSID manager page, Radioa and Radiog if I put multiple SSID i cannot see any of the SSID from my laptop. But if i give single SSID and select SSID1 then i can see that SSID. If i select SSID2 then i can see SSID2. but not able to see both SSID's at the same time.
Could anybody please help me to enable both SSID at same time.
Thanks in Advance.

The 1242 supports multiple SSID's. When configuring multiple SSID's you really need to configure VLANs and map each SSID to a VLAN. Also by default you can only broadcast one SSID. The other SSID is operational but not broadcast in the beacons. You could broadcast both SSID's if you enable MBSSID on the AP.

I already mentioned i tried that. If I enable MBSSID i cannot see any SSID's.
Anyhow the problem s solved. I just had to select "set SSID as guest mode" in Multiple BSSID Beacon.
Thank you very much.

Make sure you enabled MBSSID under the radio interface and enable mbssid guest-mode under the SSID. This is a different command than guest-mode.
