I want to upgrade my WCS to 5.2.148, but when I review the release notes for that version, the "supported" WLAN controller versions does not include the MD release of 4.2.176, well, its just NOT in the list, they don't say its not supported. Any help here? I'm sitting here ready to roll but this has thrown me off the rails. thank you!

You can upgrade to 6 which does support the 4.2.176 WLC image and is also a lot better than WCS 5.2.148 in looks & performance.

Thank you for the input. What size is your system? Do you have a decent amount of weight and do you have anything like Aeroscout or a content engine installed?

We have 2 wism blades, 1 4402, location appliance & approx 120 - 140 1250 aps. Weight is @ 230 lbs before lunch. Not using any rfid stuff. Covering 1 million sq ft of convention space.

WCS does support 4.2.176.0 as per the release notes :
http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wcs/release/notes/wcsrn5_2_148_0.html
It's a little confusing because of the order :
4.2.61.0
â¢4.2.99.0
â¢4.2.112.0
â¢4.2.130.0
â¢4.1.173.0
â¢4.2.176.0
â¢4.2.205.0

Yea, I see that now. 4.2.128 will do for the moment. I'll fall back to the Aerscout vender wether or not they want to run on up to 5.x/6.x or not. Thanks all!!
