Depending on the IGP of choice, for example 2) via hub is easily achieved with EIGRP and 1) with EIGRP requires tricks:

For 1) spoke to spoke

hub cannot summarize

hub requires split horizon disabled

hub has to keep the original EIGRP next-hop to give spoke1 the hint that some ip subnets are reachable via spoke2.

The basis for 1) is the capability to map also multicast packets with NHRP
