Solved: TFTP vlan.dat failures

I've verfied that my tftp server is listening:

# netstat -a | grep tftp *.tftp Idle

I've done a snoop and I can see the tftp write requests coming in.

I did find this through dmesg:

Jul 10 03:29:33 fXXXXXX in.tftpd[6851]: [ID 475541 daemon.warning] connection refused from 10.251.xxx.xxx

Jul 10 03:29:38 fXXXXXX in.tftpd[6852]: [ID 475541 daemon.warning] connection refused from 10.251.xxx.xxx

Jul 10 03:29:44 fXXXXXX in.tftpd[6859]: [ID 475541 daemon.warning] connection refused from 10.251.xxx.xxx

Jul 10 03:29:51 fXXXXXX in.tftpd[6862]: [ID 475541 daemon.warning] connection refused from 10.251.xxx.xxx

Thinking it might be behaviour like the default Solaris TFTP server, I touched a local file and attempted to tftp a config or vlan.dat to that filename as well with no luck.

Any thoughts?

The LMS TFTP daemon has built-in support for TCP wrappers. If you are using TCP wrappers, you need to add an entry for in.tftpd in /etc/hosts.allow which allow these devices.
