Hello Ajai,

do you see these output drops counters incrementing over time?

I've noticed high values of output drops in our customer network after a bridging loop has occurred and we have storm-control enabled.

In our case the big values don't increment over time in normal conditions.

Hope to help

So you are saying you see these drops without "mls qos" being enabled (all packets rewritten to DSCP0). Then it must be a hardware buffer problem. The load doesn't seem to be too high, however the pkts/sec is rather high. Don't know exactly how to check the hardware buffers on a 4948 though....(sh platform port-asic stat drop maybe?)
