OSPF update history log

Is there a command to issue on a Cat6500 switch to show if there has been any routing updates in the past 7 days?

We are investigating a posisble loss of connection between two sites which caused us to lose connection to a clustered SQL solution we have. Because of this, our syslog server which connects to the SQL cluster couldn't report any network changes.

The 'outage' would have only lasted 5-10secs (if at all) so I would like to see if the switches connecting the sites show any updates/changes to the rout tables etc.

Hello David,

you can try with

sh ip ospf statistics

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/iproute/command/reference/irp_osp3.html#wp1014222

I've found it in 12.4 cmd reference but it should be available.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
