I am attempting to power a Cisco Aironet AIR-BR-1310G-A-K9-R bridge using an AIR-PWRINJ-BLR2 power injector, the problem I'm having is getting power to the injector. I see that you can use AIR-PWR-A to power the injector and I was wondering if instead of running two runs of coax to the injector, if I could possibly run a longer cable from the AIR-PWR-A (split the cable on the DC side of the AIR-PWR-A and splice in 16 Awg wire). Since this is for an indoor application (Cisco Net Acad) I do not have to worry about precipitation and hence the need for running the coax. It would be much cheaper if I could run 100 ft of 16 Awg wire as opposed to 200 ft of coax. I have checked and there would be minimal power loss over 100 ft of 16 Awg (http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm).
Any suggestions, warnings or help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
