Problem with IP phone booting.

I am using a call manager 6.1. My call manager IP address is 172.19.100.1. I am using two subnets for IP phones. One is in the range 172.19.100.x and other in 172.19.101.x. The problem I am facing is that when I connect an IP phone in the 101.x range, the phone is not booting up. It shows configuring IP, then configuring CM listand then TFTP retry. Again the process repeats but does not boot up. The ip phones connected in the range 100.x shows no problem.

I would check your firewall or routing between 172.19.101.x and CM 172.19.100.1.

It can be VLAN problem as well but for sure phones can not reach CM or TFTP address from DHCP is wrong.

Hi,

Where are you creating DHCP pools for the IP Phones.....Plz make sure the 2nd DHCP pool also has TFTP address in the pool....Plz look into the sample config below:

ip dhcp pool IP-PHONES

network 10.40.96.0 255.255.252.0

default-router 10.40.96.1

option 150 ip 10.40.64.5 ---CCM Publisher IP
