Vlan on 2960

Hi Guys,

I've been googling quite a lot and I still can't figure out what i am doing wrong.

I've a watchguard firewall configured with an interface on a Vlan ID 2. This interface is connected to the port 48 on the Cisco 2960.

I've tried many times to add the port 48 to the VLAN ID 2, but no chance.

in the cisco network assistant, it stays as 'Trunk'.

I have an access point connected to the port 46 on the same cisco switch (watchguard as gateway), and I need to isolate this network as it's for consultants, just don't want them to access our network.

Do you guys have an idea how I could set this up?

I have this problem too.

Hello Florent,

use CLI access

get privileged access

sh run int f0/48

copy it on a notepad

conf t

int f0/48

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 2

this makes port 0/48 member of vlan2

about second question:

not sure to have understood:

it should be as easy as

put also port 0/46 on same vlan 2 with the commands above.

if everything is fine save the config

switch# wr mem

Hope to help
