CiscoWorks software patch updates on LMS2.6

We have:

LMS2.6

Common Services 3.0.6

DFM 2.0.10

RME 4.0.5

Campus Manager 4.0.10

I have a lot of updates downloaded that can be applied.

Are there any potential issues with just stepping through the different modules and applying all the updates that are available?

Or, is there a particular order that they should be applied?

First, install RME 4.0.6. Then, go back, and do another RME device update, and download and install all the new available device packages. When it's all said and done, you should be fully up-to-date, and have support for your 1800.

You ned to install the Common Services MDF first, but after that, all of the updates can be applied in any order.

Thanks Joe,

Do I need to manually unzip each file, or will the install process do this?

The device packages must not be unzipped. They are installed as-is. The service pack updates must be unzipped, then installed using the setup program.

Thanks Joe,

Is there still no support for 1800 series routes in RME?

RME should support every 1800 series. What is the sysObjectID of your device?

I did see that it was a conflicting device and that was corrected.

I am able to run reports on it.

I am able to see it in RME

sysobjectid = 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.905

I will see if the config archive job works tonight during the normal run of the job.

In the past, the 1800 series did not work.

I am getting this error in RME, it may be nothing because the config archive has not run yet:

CM0056 Config fetch failed for 1861-12Cause: CM0204 Could not create DeviceContext for 211 Cause: CM0206 Could not get the config transport implementation for 172.16.254.112 Cause: UNKNOWN Action: Check if required device packages are available in RME. Action: Check if protocol is supported by device and required device package is installed.

This device is supported in RME 4.0.6 provided you have version 5.2 of the Rtr1800 device package.

Joe,

I have RME v 4.0.5 and Rtr1800 5.0, but I just downloaded those packages yesterday.

Should the ones you mentioned be out yet?

CORRECTION

Joe, it looks like I was able to download RME 4.0.6:

"Successfully downloaded package(s) cwrme4_0_6_win"

But where do I get the 5.2 device package?

Is that included in the above, or is it part of one of the other modules?

First, install RME 4.0.6. Then, go back, and do another RME device update, and download and install all the new available device packages. When it's all said and done, you should be fully up-to-date, and have support for your 1800.

That did it Joe,

Thanks.

I have another issue regarding a discovery and data collection that I do a new post for.
